Balayage Highlights or Lowlights 150
This is a French colouring technique that was developed in the 1970s. It’s a freehand technique where the colour is applied by hand rather than using the traditional foiling or cap highlighting techniques. Balayage can be used in even the shortest pixie crop however the best results is in hair below the shoulders.
This describes the gradual blending of one color hue to another, usually moving tints and shades from light to dark. A reverse Ombre is the gradual blending of dark to light. Like Balayage, Ombre can be used in even the shortest pixie crop however the best results is in hair below the shoulders.
Bleach and highlights remove color from your hair by the process of oxidation. Oxidation decolourizes the pigment in your hair shaft, which is why bleach will turn your hair almost white if it’s left on for too long. Very bleached hair often gains a ‘yellow’ tint, because keratin (the protein your hair is made of) is naturally a pale yellow.
